McKinley Green is an assistant professor of English at George Mason University whose scholarship has centered on queer rhetorics, technical communication, community-based research, and sexual health risk communication around HIV/AIDS.

Green’s scholarship has centered on social justice in technical and professional communication. His dissertation examined communication about HIV in digital technologies and social media, and this website, called Storying Sex, is an extension of that work, in a way. It is a five part podcast that examines sexual health communication shared on digital platforms by LGBTQI BIPOC communities. This work highlights how digital technologies function as a source of information that can prioritize individual experiences which, in turn, can destabilize dominant discourses and connected practices.
